Most households need as many connections as the number of screens that play at the same time — not the number of devices you own. A couple who watch together on one TV and occasionally on a phone need one or two; a family with a living-room TV, two kids' rooms and a sports fan needs three or four. IPTV Level Up plans come with 1 to 5 connections, and you can install the app on as many devices as you like.
What a "connection" actually is
A connection is one stream playing at one time. That's it.
- You can install IPTV Level Up on a Firestick, a Samsung TV, two phones and a laptop with one login.
- With one connection, only one of those can play at a given moment. If a second starts, one will stop or show an error.
- With three connections, any three can play at once.
Installed devices don't count. Paused apps in the background usually don't count either — but a stream left running on a TV nobody's watching does. Turn off TVs, not just the screen.
A five-minute way to count
Think about your busiest viewing moment of a normal week — usually Sunday afternoon or weekday evenings — and count the screens playing at that moment:
- The main TV.
- Any bedroom or kids' TVs that are on at the same time.
- Phones or tablets someone watches on during that time (not just scrolling social media — actually playing IPTV).
- Someone watching away from home with the same login.
That number is your connections. If you're between two numbers, pick the higher one; arguments over who gets the TV cost more than one extra connection.
Household examples
| Household | Typical busy moment | Connections |
|---|---|---|
| Single person, one TV, sometimes a phone | TV or phone | 1 |
| Couple who watch together, one sometimes on a tablet | TV + tablet | 2 |
| Family: living room + one kids' room | 2 TVs | 2 |
| Family: living room + two kids' rooms | 3 TVs | 3 |
| Sports family: two games at once + kids' TV | 3 TVs + phone | 4 |
| Shared house or multi-generation home | 4–5 screens | 5 |
What it costs to add a connection
Each extra connection raises the plan price, but by less than buying a second subscription. On the 12-month plan, for example:
| Connections | 12-month price |
|---|---|
| 1 | $69 |
| 2 | $109 |
| 3 | $139 |
| 4 | $169 |
| 5 | $199 |
All other lengths (1, 3 and 6 months) with every connection count are on the pricing page.
Bandwidth: can your internet handle it?
Each playing screen uses bandwidth. Rough steady speeds per screen:
- HD: about 10 Mbps
- Full HD sports: about 25 Mbps
- 4K: about 40 Mbps
Add them up for your busiest moment. Three Full HD screens need about 75 Mbps of steady speed; one 4K plus two HD screens need about 60 Mbps. If your internet is slower than that at peak times, choose HD versions of channels on the secondary screens. More tips in how to stop IPTV buffering.
Common mistakes
Counting devices instead of screens. Five installed devices doesn't mean five connections — it means five places you can watch.
Forgetting the kids' tablet. Tablets are the most common "surprise" second stream. If the kids watch cartoons while you watch the game, that's two.
Leaving a stream running. A TV switched to another HDMI input with the IPTV app still playing behind it uses a connection. Exit the app or turn the stick off.
Sharing your login outside the house. Your connections are shared across everyone using the login. If a relative uses it at their home during your game, they're using one of your streams.
Can I change the number later?
Yes. If you find one connection isn't enough, message support on WhatsApp and we'll explain the options for upgrading. At renewal you can choose a different number of connections freely. Your login, favorites and app settings stay the same.
What about MAG boxes and MAC-based apps?
Each MAG box or MAC-based app (IBO Player Pro, Smart IPTV) is registered by its MAC address. Tell support every device MAC you'll use, and make sure your connection count covers the ones that will play at the same time.
Our recommendation
- Living alone or a couple watching together: 1 connection, or 2 if someone regularly watches on a phone.
- Family with kids: 2–3 connections.
- Sports-heavy households: 3–4 connections — game days are when everyone watches at once.
- Large or shared homes: 5 connections.
Still unsure? Tell support how many TVs and phones are in the house and when you watch; we'll recommend a number. Then pick your IPTV Level Up plan or test first with the free trial (one screen). Setting up the extra screens takes a few minutes each — see the setup guides, starting with Android phones and iPhone & iPad.
